Meanwhile, the apps we use every day are designed to keep us glued to our screens. They optimize for time spent scrolling, not time spent living. They connect us to content, not to the world around us.
The idea
What if you could seal a memory — a photo, a video, a voice note, a message — inside a digital capsule and pin it to the exact place where it matters? And what if the only way to open it was to physically go there?
That's Voorcap. We call our capsules Caps. You create one, lock it to GPS coordinates, optionally set a time lock, and send it to someone. They see it on their map. They walk toward it. With every step, the anticipation builds. And when they arrive — the seal breaks, and your moment becomes theirs.
We named the app after voorpret, a Dutch word that can't be translated into any other language. It means the joy you feel before something good happens. The pleasure of anticipation itself. That feeling is the heart of everything we build.
